This event was added in 2015 for what was just the holiday season but rapidly expanded to a year-round event and made a return for the 2016 holiday season. Walt Disney World is open every day of the year (barring weather emergencies). School is open, in the US, for most of the year. Odds are, if you plan a Walt Disney World vacation, there is a good chance that you need to pull your children out of school to attend. Disney kind of ensures this by making major vacation times (summer, Christmas, Spring Break, President’s Day Weekend) more expensive than other times of the year. Airlines are to blame as well by charging higher fares around these breaks. Just from an affordability standpoint, it is easier to pull your children out of school and take them to Disney while school is in session. Some schools and administrations take a dim view to this. So here are some strategies to “help your case” if confronted.

EPCOT’s Food and Wine Festival is one of the most popular time of year for EPCOT. Vacationers and Orlando locals, alike, flock to the theme park to enjoy the international cuisine offered by the festival. This year’s festival is the longest on record starting on August 31 and ending on November 13. The festival is filled with special demonstrations, concerts, along with more than 50 booths scattered through the World Showcase and now into Future World. All of these events bring lots of people. Adventureland in Magic Kingdom is home to two of the best frozen snacks at Walt Disney World: The Dole Whip and The Citrus Swirl. The Dole Whip is the favorite for most people. Me?
