It was reported, last night, by wdwnt.com along with other Disney news outlets that the Main Street Electrical Parade will be making its last run down Main Street at Walt Disney World on October 9th. No word on what will be replacing the night-time parade at the Magic Kingdom.
A version of the Main Street Electrical Parade will be making a “limited-time appearance” at Disneyland starting on September 5th when Paint the Night parade ends it’s run there. September 5th also marks the return of the original World of Color show at Disney’ California Adventure. This will replace the current 60th anniversary show currently running.
There was a lot of speculation has to where my family and I ate lunch during the afternoon. My daughter and I finished our ride on Space Mountain and met my wife at……….

Our family had one of the best, if not the best, counter service meals at either Walt Disney World or Disneyland. My daughter had a giant plate of pasta (no sauce or butter) for her meal. My wife got the pot roast which again was a big portion of pot roast. For me, the menu came down to one item….the fried chicken.
The chicken was juicy on the inside and crispy on the outside. There were three pieces (a breast, a thigh, and a leg). The mashed potatoes were great as well and there was just enough gravy to cover the potatoes but not spill out on the rest of the plate. We were too full from our entrees so we passed on dessert.
I don’t spend a lot of time talking about Disneyland (mainly because it’s been a long time since I’ve last been there) but last night Disney announced some of its plans for the 60th anniversary of Disneyland starting in May. Some of these events look really good and make want to make a trip out to California this summer to experience them.
Sleeping Beauty’s Castle and the Carthay Circle Theatre will get Diamond medallions and sparkle with diamond overlays to the building
A new fireworks show “Disneyland Forever.”

If these new events are on par with the new Festival of Fantasy parade, then Disneyland has three new shows which will be must-see attractions. These events sound and look great. They make me want to plan a trip to Disneyland to experience them and everything else that Disneyland has to offer.
