Disney has a lot to offer the foodie in all of us. There are a lot of really good restaurant. But where should you look if all the top choices are taken? What restaurants are out there that provide a good experience and have tables available on short notice or for larger groups? Today’s article tries to answer those questions by focusing on the restaurants that are overlooked by a lot of travelers. Cinco de Mayo – Disney Style
Walt Disney World brings a lot to the table when it comes to Cinco de Mayo. The most obvious is the entire Mexico Pavilion within the World Showcase. But don’t forget the Coronado Springs resorts and one of Disney’s dining hidden gems….Maya Grille. In celebration of Cinco de Mayo, we will take a closer look at these locations to get into the Mexican spirit.
Weekend Trip Report – Day One
My journey to Walt Disney World began bright and early at 5:45 am as my wife and I woke up to head the airport. Our daughter was safe and sound with my wife’s family and had not idea that we were taking this trip. We had an uneventful drive to the airport and getting through security was a breeze. Our flight to Charlotte was at the gate and ready to go. Our flight was relatively straight forward. My wife and I got to both enjoy aisle seats. We got to Charlotte early made our way to our gate for Orlando. Again, things went without a hiccup. Flight arrived on-time and we started the boarding process early. Another uneventful flight and we were in Orlando.
Hidden Gem/Low-Cost Table Service Restaurants
After the big news, yesterday, with Disney releasing news of the Villains Unleashed party on August 23rd. Dad is going to slow things down a bit today and talk about some of the lower-cost/hidden gem table service restaurants.
This comes out of a discussion I was having with my spouse, last night, about potential restaurants to eat out when we are down for the Villains party in August. Yes, Dad scored tickets! And a room at Yacht Club to boot! We are not using the Disney Dining Plan for this trip – a first for us. So, we went looking for hidden gem restaurants around Disney World since we are paying “out-of-pocket” for these table service meals
