At the end of 2016, Walt Disney World debuted two new shows to the Magic Kingdom: The Muppets Present Great Moments in American History and Mickey’s Royal Friendship Faire. When I was at Walt Disney World in December, I was able to view both of these shows and grab some good pictures.
This story broke last week and quickly raced through the Walt Disney World fan community with nearly universal acceptance. I spent some time, over the weekend, and I am about to throw some cold water on that acceptance. I don’t think this is a good idea for the Walt Disney World resort. I think it is a case of short-term profit taking over the long-established traditions of the Magic Kingdom. Below I will lay out my case for why I think this is a bad idea.
Welcome to this month’s Blogorail Orange Loop. Today we are sharing our reviews of the deluxe villa resorts at Walt Disney World.
Welcome to Bay Lake Tower: the only Deluxe Villa Resort where you can walk from the resort to the Magic Kingdom. This fact is the top-selling point for this resort. My family enjoys our Disney Vacation Club stays at Bay Lake Tower. We can leave the resort at 30 minutes before rope drop at Magic Kingdom and arrive in plenty of time for the opening show.
I am someone who does not like Halloween. I don’t like dressing up. I don’t like buying candy and giving it out to the neighborhood kids. I use just put it in a bowl and leave it on my front step. However, at Disney, that all changes. I’ve been to two Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Parties. I dressed up for one. I didn’t for other because it was too hot to be in costume. Disney, in my opinion, does a great job with the Halloween party. They turn Halloween into a fun event compared to all the work I have to put in at home to make Halloween enjoyable.
In December 2015, I went on the first major diet in my life. My weight was finally reaching the point where it was starting to impact my daily life so both my wife and I decided to do something about it. The diet consists of a lot of portion control and a slight increase in exercise. Since December, I have lost 60 pounds and six inches off my waist. This post is not to discuss the pros and cons of dieting and my success while on this diet. It’s to discuss how to diet and go to Disney. I have a work trip scheduled for September and a family vacation to Disney scheduled December. These will be my first trips to Disney while on this diet. So, what are some ways that you can diet (or at least not gain weight) while on a Disney vacation?
