Swimming pools who doesn’t love a good swimming pool. Every Walt Disney World resort has a resort pool to go along with quiet pools. This article is only focusing on the resort pools. Quiet pools are all the same…square, boring, and quiet. A pool is a place to have fun. Go down the slide, off the diving board, making noise….having fun. Today, we’re going around the world and looking for the best pools at Walt Disney World because some pools are better than others and a lot of people will choose a resort solely for the pool. The pool is used for mid-afternoon enjoyment away from the parks. It’s the best and easiest way to stay cool!
Caribbean Beach, Coronado Springs, and Port Orleans are Disney’s moderate resorts and there is plenty to love about them.
A lot of our readers and people in general will find themselves gravitating to the moderate tier of resorts. In general, they have more space than a standard value room. While they are smaller than a standard deluxe room, they will cost significantly less than the deluxe room. They are perfect for guests who don’t want to stay at a value resort but don’t want the cost of staying at a deluxe resort. So, what is there to love about them.
Today, I’m moving up the Walt Disney World resort food chain with the moderate resorts. There are four moderate resorts: Caribbean Beach, Coronado Springs, Port Orleans, and the Fort Wilderness Cabins and Campground.
In general, these resorts have rooms which are a little bit bigger than the value resorts. They also have more recreation on the resort property and some even have table-service dining options at the resort.
Caribbean Beach Resort
Located between EPCOT and Hollywood Studios.
The map, here, doesn’t lie. The resort is BIG. There are 33 buildings along the 42-acre Barefoot Bay Lake. The nice thing is buildings are only two-story high so you don’t have worry about a high-rise building blocking the view from the room. The 33 buildings are connected by a 1.4 mile walking trail just to give some perspective as to the size of the resort.
Everything is centered on the Old Port Royale (also called Centertown). Guests will find the Market Street Food Court, Shutters, which is a table-service, sit-down restaurant, bicycle and boat rentals, the main Pirate-themed main pool.
