This month on the Peach Loop of The Blogorail, we are talking some of the best counter service location at Walt Disney World. My favorite is the Contempo Cafe located at The Contemporary Resort just steps away from The Magic Kingdom. Read more to find out why.
Yesterday at D23, the Parks Panel presentation took place and A LOT of new information was dropped. So much information that I have to break in down park by park and then what is going on outside the theme parks on the resort side. Let’s dive in head first.
EPCOT’s Food and Wine Festival is one of the most popular time of year for EPCOT. Vacationers and Orlando locals, alike, flock to the theme park to enjoy the international cuisine offered by the festival. This year’s festival is the longest on record starting on August 31 and ending on November 13. The festival is filled with special demonstrations, concerts, along with more than 50 booths scattered through the World Showcase and now into Future World. All of these events bring lots of people. What are some good ways to avoid the crowds and get the most out of the festival?
A couple of years ago, my wife’s aunts and uncles took our daughter into the parks for the evening and my wife and I were able to enjoy a relaxing dinner at Yachtsman Steakhouse. One of the things that I enjoy about staying at The Contemporary/Bay Lake Tower is easy walking access to the Magic Kingdom Bus Depot. My wife and I walked over the depot to catch the Yacht Club/Beach Club bus. We always bank plenty of time to get from point A to point B at Disney but we were lucky enough to catch a bus right away to Yacht Club.
Last week, I was fortunate enough to attend one of the Pandora previews and got a first-hand look at what the Disney Imagineers have created inside Animal Kingdom. I will upfront with you…I have never seen Avatar the movie so I had no idea about the storyline, scenery, characters, etc. I went into this experience with no preconceived notions and, most importantly, no expectations mainly because I did not know what to expect.
