On Saturday, I’ll be in the World for my family’s annual week-long trip. It’s a great chance to relax, refresh, and recharge as well as seeing what new things have been added to the parks and resorts.
Here’s what I’m looking forward to:
1) Minnie’s Seasonal Dine
I’ve been interested in this dining experience since it was announced last year. Unfortunately, this event was announced, last year, after I made this annual trip to the World. So, I’ve had to wait until now to experience it. I’m hoping for a more relaxed version of Chef Mickey’s while expecting a Chef Mickey’s like atmosphere. I don’t have high expectations for the food. A buffet is a buffet is a buffet. I’m going for the experience.
2) New Resort/View Experiences
This is a longer stay for us (nine days as opposed to typical seven). We are spending the first two days at Port Orleans-French Quarter. We have stayed at Port Orleans-Riverside in the past and this extension gives us a chance to move over to French Quarter. Staying at the French Quarter gives my family the chance to try something new – not going into the parks on the first day. Our plan is to have dinner at Boatwright’s and then head down to Disney Springs to check out the Christmas Tree tour.
3) Jingle Bell Jingle BAM
This ticks a lot of boxes. It’s new. It’s Christmas. It involves characters from Prep and Landing (one of my wife’s favorite Christmas shows). We will probably catch this after Minnie’s Seasonal Dine.
4) Frozen Ever After & Soarin’ Around the World
My wife got to experience Frozen Ever After when we made a weekend trip to the world for travel agent training. While she was on the attraction, I was spending the afternoon in a training session. We will get to experience this attraction as a family on our last full day in the parks.
I took my daughter on Soarin’ for the first in Disneyland last summer. She hasn’t been on either Soarin’ in Walt Disney World or on Soarin’ Around the World in general. Again, a new experience for both of us.
Is there anything new in Walt Disney World that you would like to see pictures or a review? Drop me a line in the comments.
Thanks for reading!
