A Couple of News Bites

A few news items from around the world:

  • The Lumberjack show at EPCOT has been undergone some tweaks.  A Lumberjill has been added to the show.  In addition, a log-rolling competition has also been added in the new 15 foot by 15 foot pool to the left of the stage.  Be careful where you stand because like Splash Mountain, “you may get wet!”
  • Beginning on Saturday, the Captain EO theater will be used for Tomorrowland sneak previews.  A new 12-minute preview will debut in the theater and will, it is assumed, until the movie debuts on May 22.
  • Frozen Summer Fun returns for another summer.  Starting June 17 and running through September 7, the Frozen Summer Fun package will be offered again at Hollywood Studios.  The package is $69 for adults and $39 for children.  Guests will be able to have reserved seating for the Frozen Royal Welcome as well reserved seating for a showing of A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration.  That night, guests will access to a dessert party during the Frozen Fireworks celebration.  Tickets are available at http://www.waltdisneyworld.com

L’Artisan des Glaces is tucked away in the back of the pavilion on the way to Boulangerie Patisserie.  I have rarely seen it with a long line (though, to be fair, I’ve never gone in the mid-afternoon in the summer).  It’s one of the hidden gems of EPCOT and, in my opinion, serves the best ice cream sandwich in all of Walt Disney World.
