Club Disney at Disney Polynesian Village Resort

Club Disney will be a brand new children’s activity center at the Disney Polynesian Village Resort.  It will be replacing the old Neverland Club also at The Polynesian.

Children’s Activity Centers are places where guests can drop off their children, ages 4 to 12, for the evening.  The centers are not located at all resorts, however, they are available for all resort guests.  A list of the centers:

Simba’s Playhouse – Animal Kingdom Lodge

Sandcastle Club – Beach Club Resort

Camp Dolphin – Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel

Club Disney – Polynesian Village Resort

Cubs Den – Wilderness Lodge

Hours for most resorts is 4:30 pm until midnight and the cost is $11 per hour and does include dinner if you book during dinner hours.   Reservations are suggested and can be made at 407-WDW-DINE (407-939-3463)

What do these centers provide?

They provide supervised games and activities for the children.  Dinner – usually chicken nuggets or a hot dog.  Later in the evening, they wind down with a movie in the center.

Children must be potty trained to go to the club.

Back to the Club Disney:

Formally the Neverland Club complete with Peter Pan and Tinker Bell theme.  The area has been completely re-themed.  The new theme will be takes its inspiration for the Disney Little Golden Books series featuring  Lady and Trump, Pinocchio, and Alice in Wonderland.

These children’s activity centers are great for parents who want a night out without the kids.  My family have used this service once during our Disney vacations.  We made reservations for one of the Candlelight Processional packages.  It included dinner at Chefs de France and then one of the showings of the Candlelight Processional during Christmastime.  My wife and I knew that our daughter, who was five at the time, could make it through the dinner in France.  However, we knew that the Candlelight Processional would be difficult for her to sit through.  So, we made a reservation for her at the Cubs Den since we were staying at Wilderness Lodge.  My wife and I had a great night out even if it was FREEZING!!!!!! Cold_Smiley outside. My daughter was the only person in the Cubs Den that night and had a great time as well playing by herself and with the cast members in the Cubs Den.

These children’s activity are a great over-looked service that Disney provides for children to allow parents to have a night out to themselves.

Thanks for reading!
